I spent a fair amount of time in Cley over the winter months and it's absolutely gorgeous, the reed beds shine with a golden glow as the sun hits them, it's absolutely breathtaking to see! My main aim was to photograph Seals on this particular occasion, so with determination I set off towards Blakeney point, Cley beach is extremely hard going and by the time I reached the old Watchhouse I was exhausted and a little sad having passed over a dozen dead Seals but the entire day flipped around when I saw this beautiful pup belly flopping across the beach. I quickly lay down and crawled into a position where I could get a clear background without blocking the Seals path resulting in this image. The Seal was actively curious and slowly altered it's path to come within twenty feet of me, we watched eachother for a while before I was deemed not a threat and the Seal passed me by to nap in a bush. I'll definitely be back this year and maybe I'll actually make it to Blakeney point this time!
